    How is it all organised?

Arrival at the parking place on the Saturday:

You will be welcomed by our organisers. Follow their instructions in order to park efficiently.

Then go to the secretariat to get a copy of each necessary IGN map (scale 1/25000) and two control cards per team. These cards are for the Saturday only; you will get the cards for Sunday on Sunday morning before the start of the second leg.

Competitors on the non-timed courses will receive directly a photocopy of their course showing the control points to be visited (they must be visited by all team members together and in the order indicated). They may start at any time they wish between 9 and 10 a.m. For the teams entered for the timed courses there is a mass start at 12 noon (see below) and the photocopies of their courses are issued just after the start.

    The tent and your backpack:

Bring your tent to the start. It will be transferred to the bivouac site. Yes, we hadn't mentioned that the accommodation is in tents!

    Your backpack must contain:

For each team: mini first aid kit, whistle, water bottle, food for two days and cooking equipment

For each competitor: electric lamp, sleeping bag (not a survival bag), change of clothing and compass.

The start for the runner categories:

The mass start for runners is at 12 noon precisely. Just after the start line we hand out photocopies of the courses showing the control points which team members must visit simultaneously and in the order given. Copy these on to your IGN map. Choose your own route between the controls, which are marked by orienteering controls equipped with a punch. Have a good race!

    The start for mountain-bikers :

This is 30 minutes later, at 12.30 precisely. Just after the start line we hand out photocopies of the courses showing the control points which team members must visit simultaneously and in the order given. Copy these on to your IGN map. . You must keep to the roads and tracks.

    Reaching the bivouac :

When you arrive you will receive water and tickets for the barbecue. The presence of the required items in your pack will be checked. Your tent will be waiting for you and you can settle in.

    The bivouac
    :

The bivouac is divided into two sections, one for those who are likely to be late back from the bar and one for those who want an early night.

Our traditional bar is open....until late at night. There is always a good atmosphere.

    The barbecue at the bivouac:

The entry fee includes the barbecue, where our nice organisers work hard for you. It opens at around 18:30.

    Breakfast on Day 2:

On the Sunday morning we provide breakfast: bread, jam, chocolate, coffee.

At the same time, you will receive the control cards for the day.

The walkers may start as soon as they are ready. Again, your tent will be taken to the finish.

    The finish :

Water will be available at the finish. You can also visit the bar.

    Prize-giving

This will take place in the course of the afternoon.

There we are, that's it. Don't forget to pick up your tent before you leave!
